Myrtle Beach Commercial Real Estate and Construction Lawyers
DesChamps Law Firm — Proudly serving our long-time client base for 45 years
William W. DesChamps, Jr., called “Bill” by his family, friends, and clients, after practicing law in Myrtle Beach as an associate for 3 years, started DesChamps Law Firm in 1976 as a sole practitioner primarily focusing on all aspects of real estate or “dirt” law. Since 1976, Myrtle Beach and the surrounding Grand Strand area have seen tremendous growth and development bringing both opportunity and obstacles to our client base. As a result, Bill expanded our firm’s practice areas during the early 1980s to include not only commercial transactions, general business matters, probate matters, and pure “dirt” law, but also civil litigation involving construction defects, construction contracts, mechanic’s liens, surety and payment bonds, commercial and business litigation, premises liability, mortgage foreclosures, lien priority disputes, arbitration, and mediation. After 45 years of practice, Bill restricts his practice to established clients and referrals.
DesChamps Law Firm is an established law firm in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a primary focus on all aspects of real estate or “dirt” law including commercial and residential contracts and closings, mechanics lien and mortgage foreclosures, entity and corporate formation, banking and debtor-creditor issues, restaurant, motel, and franchise issues, and related litigation and dispute resolution processes. For 45 years, DesChamps Law Firm has successfully represented individuals, professionals, businesses, banks, owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors in transactional, civil litigation, and other business-related matters. Since 1976, our small firm environment and hands-on approach has led to long-lasting client relationships and a repeating client base over the years.
Our primary goal at DesChamps Law Firm is to continue to provide quality service to our clients. Since DesChamps Law Firm first opened its doors in 1976, we have emphasized the importance of maintaining a small firm environment where we strive to make the process user friendly and understandable. A small firm environment enhances our ability to provide quality service to our clients by facilitating client involvement and participation, and by maintaining an open line of communication between our attorneys and the client. We make the process user friendly and understandable by frequent communication with the client, starting at the beginning of the relationship.
Our lawyers consult with the client and each other on a regular basis. Our paralegals and support team further ensure that an open line of communication is maintained between the client and the attorney. Throughout our representation, our attorneys and staff are available to give their best advice and support by keeping open the lines of communication and attempting to make the solution to the legal predicament less problematic. Whether the matter involves a business transaction or a contested civil litigation proceeding, we believe that client involvement and joint participation by both the client and the lawyer are important in every step of the process.
DesChamps Law Firm has been accepted for inclusion in the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers which is exclusive to AV/Preeminent Attorneys – those who have achieved the Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards. Fewer than five (5%) percent of all law firms qualify, making subscribers to the Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers the most respected in the country. Excellence is our goal! Over the years, we have and will continue to maintain a small firm environment to ensure excellent quality in our service and the enhancement of the client experience.
