William W. DesChamps, Jr., called “Bill” by his family, friends, and clients, started DesChamps Law Firm in 1979 as a sole practitioner primarily focusing on all aspects of real estate or “dirt” law. Since 1979, Myrtle Beach and the surrounding Grand Strand area have seen tremendous growth and development bringing both opportunity and obstacles to our client base. As a result, Bill expanded our firm’s practice areas during the early 1980s to include not only commercial transactions, general business matters, probate matters, and pure “dirt” law, but also civil litigation involving construction defects, construction contracts, mechanic’s liens, surety and payment bonds, commercial and business litigation, premises liability, mortgage foreclosures, lien priority disputes, arbitration, and mediation.

Since DesChamps Law Firm first opened its doors in 1979, we have emphasized the importance of maintaining a small firm environment where we strive to make the process user friendly and understandable. A small firm environment enhances our ability to provide quality service to our clients by facilitating client involvement and participation, and by maintaining an open line of communication between our attorneys and the client. We make the process user friendly and understandable by frequent communication with the client, starting at the beginning of the relationship.
